About the city of Málaga

Together with Marbella, Málaga is one of the most important and famous places in the Andalusia region. It is located in southern Spain on the Costa del Sol. The city is particularly known for the many beaches and the pleasant (warm) climate.

Buy property in Málaga

Many people have already preceded you. In Spain, interest rates are currently relatively low, which makes it interesting to invest in real estate. When you own real estate, it can be ideal to combine this with rental and own use. In the high season you can rent it out completely and in the low season you can make personal use of it.

There are plenty of rental options on the Costa del Sol. It currently has such a tourist appeal - that it can be rented out (especially) in July and August. In Spain there are enough tools to rent out the property successfully (long-term) (comparable to Funda). Experience also shows that buying a plot of land and having a house built by yourself can be a good investment. When you do this, you generally save the 20% margin that a project developer normally charges. Buying an old existing finca or villa can also be an option. You can have it refurbished and then resell it.

If you are considering implementing one of the options above, it is advisable to use a Dutch broker or buying agent. The rule and legislation in Spain is completely different than in the Netherlands, making it more difficult to arrange this yourself.
