About the Costa Blanca

The Costa Blanca is a region on the east coast of Spain. The literal translation is "white coast" but has nothing to do with the white beaches. In the past, almond cultivation was a very important source of income in this region, and the name for the name was the trees that released the pink and white blossoms.

This costa consists of no less than 74 sandy beaches and the coast has a total length of 244 km.

It is a very popular area for vacationers and hibernators. People are increasingly investing their money in a (second) home on the Costa Blanca to spend their holidays here. The climate is therefore always good with an average annual temperature of 20 degrees Celsius. During the hottest months in July and August it is on average 28 degrees Celsius and during the coldest months in December, January and February it is on average 14 degrees Celsius.

Especially people with physical problems such as asthma, osteoarthritis and rheumatism like to come to this area. The (micro) climate ensures that people suffer less. The area has therefore been named the healthiest area in Europe. Many beaches have been awarded the blue flag, which means that the beaches meet certain criteria, such as; clean water, regular cleaning of the beach, the presence of sufficient toilets and waste bins and the presence of a first aid post and rescue equipment.
