Middellandse zee - Costa Blanca

Increasingly, people are investing the savings in stones instead of leaving the money in the bank. This is because this simply yields more returns for the long term. If you can combine this with a nice holiday address for yourself, then this is of course completely ideal.
Many people think that investing in a second home in Spain is for pensionados. But that is cliché.
Everyone has thought about what to do with your savings. A recent study has shown that keeping savings in the bank is no longer that interesting. Often the costs that you have to pay in tax on your savings are even higher than the income that you earn in interest. Taking into account the inflation correction, you will soon end up with a negative return.

Invest in real estate

If you want to keep your assets, it is good to think about other forms of investment. Think of bitcoins, shares, extra pension insurance. However, this does not guarantee a good return and it is also a paper investment that you cannot enjoy during the process. Here we come to the option "buying real estate". This option is very wide and varies from a student home in the Netherlands to buying a second home abroad. The advantage of the latter is that you can enjoy it yourself, while the return comes to you.
Another option is to buy a plot of land on which you can build a house yourself and then rent or sell. The interest rate is currently extremely low in Spain and can be fixed for 10 or 20 years. If you want to buy a larger holiday home than the savings allow, you can therefore borrow for a low interest rate, which will ensure that your return will be higher at the bottom of the line.

Risks

Of course there are also risks associated with the above matters; the economy can fall back or the mortgage interest rate can rise. Both factors can also have a negative impact on the value of your (second) home. However, the difference with other types of investment is that you can now enjoy it yourself.

Also consider other risks such as debt restructuring on a home, a building permit that is missing, having a contractor who turns out to be bankrupt, etcetera. Unfortunately, these are many problems that have happened. So contact us and get a completely free and without obligation advice. We have a large network around us with people who can be trusted. We also know about all Spanish rules that are different from those in the Netherlands.

Costa Blanca North

The Costa Blanca North is an interesting region to buy or have a holiday home built. Within the Costa Blanca North there is an area that runs from Javea to Altea which has been designated by the WWF as the healthiest area in Europe. All beaches have the blue flag which means that the beach and water are clean, there is supervision, as well as a toilet and access for the disabled. Because of the mountain ridges, this area is located in a bowl, giving it an Australian maritime climate. This means that there are less extreme fluctuations in temperatures. Many people with health problems such as asthma, osteoarthritis or rheumatism like to go here because they have fewer symptoms once they get there.
