Calpe (also called Calp), is a striking resort on the Costa Blanca.
Calpe is ideal for people who want to spend their holidays here - there is a lot of fun and there is always something going on.
The city can be recognized from afar because of the 332 meter high rock “El peñon de Ifach”. The rock protrudes into the sea and divides the city into two beaches. For the active hikers this rock can be climbed, but there are also routes suitable for beginners.
You get here one of the best views on the Costa Blanca. Plant lovers and bird lovers can also enjoy themselves here. There are many different herbs such as rosemary, thyme and wild sage and there are around 300 species of animals, including about 80 different bird species.
In terms of accessibility, Calpe is also very favorable. The city is located about 70 km north of Alicante, so from the airport you can reach your destination within the hour. A train departs from the airport every two hours (and back again). This journey takes around 90 minutes and costs between € 5 and € 8.
